Although Eunice Kim was born and raised in NYC, she has been language brokering from a young age for her Korean immigrant family. She graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University’s East Asian Studies department, and completed her Masters in Teaching with the NYU Teacher Residency soon after. She has worked both in-person and online with K-12 students in NYC, New Jersey, China, Korea, and Japan.

Through her personal Korean and Japanese language studies, Eunice has come to realize just how much language can shape both individual and collective identity and values. Korean language, and by extension, Korean literature, has a special depth, richness, and nuance that sets it apart from the rest. She hopes to help her students discover different sides to themselves through their Korean language studies, as well as a deeper appreciation for Korean culture.
