Nhia Borja holds a Master's degree in Linguistics from the CUNY Graduate Center and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics with a minor in Korean from Queens College. With nearly six years of experience as a Korean language tutor at LaGuardia Community College, she has successfully guided students of various levels in achieving their language goals. In 2015, Nhia traveled to Korea, where she lived with host families tending to private farms in Gyeryeong-san and in a community serving a corporate farm in Jeju Island. This immersive experience deepened her understanding of Korean language and culture, which she now incorporates into her teaching. In addition to her tutoring background, Nhia is also an adjunct lecturer of Japanese language, further enriching her expertise in language instruction.
